Cynthia Morgan St. John scrapbook on Wordsworth, 1892-1955.

Scrapbook of newspaper clippings, letters, notes, and other materials concerning William Wordsworth and his circle and related subjects, evidently begun by Cynthia Morgan St. John and continued by others after her death. The contents consist mainly of clippings from English-language newspapers such as the Independent, Ensign, Examiner (New York), Athenaeum, Cornell Daily Sun, Catholic Journal, Utica Journal, Sunday School Times, Catholic Citizen (Milwaukee, Wis.), International Book Finder, Peking and Tientsin Times, Home Journal, Pall Mall Gazette, and others. Also included are notes taken by Cynthia Morgan St. John in the English Lake District, galley proofs of her essay "Experiences of a collector," the constitution and rules of a Wordsworth Club in England, and a photograph of Mrs. St. John's cottage in Slaterville Springs, N.Y. Also included are letters from Mrs. St. John's daughter, Sheila Kennedy Fraser, to Prof. Broughton and Prof. Bald concerning her mother's work on the Wordsworth Collection and its coming to Cornell University Library.
